I suppose the real question is why should you make the switch to the electronic cigarette? Not that this should be your primary consideration, but our cost savings calculator will show you just how much money you can save!
Since electronic cigarettes are such a new technology, we cannot currently market our prodcut as a safer alternative to traditional cigarettes.
While continued testing does need to be done on electronic cigarettes, testing that has been done has revealed that there are very few, if any, carcinogens in electronic cigarettes. In terms of ingredients, there are NO known carcinogens in a 21 Century electronic cigarette. The ingredients of our electronic cigarettes include nicotine, natural flavors (primarily Propylene Glycol), and water. Propylene Glycol is generally considered to be a harmless food additive.
And this is just the beginning. Another thing that makes our electronic cigarettes so exciting is that they do not produce second-hand smoke. In fact, the vapor omited from a 21 Century electronic cigarette is relatively harmless. So, technically our product can be used in restaurants, bars, movies, and at work. Most current non-smoking ordinances are in place to prevent the use of tobacco and second hand smoke. Our product has no tobacco and omits NO second-hand smoke whatsoever!
Also, a 21 Century electronic cigarette does not require a lighter. Just breath in through the cartridge and inhale the nicotine vapor. Then just throw the electronic cigarette back in your pocket or purse, and go on with your day.
With all of the regulations that have been put in place, people relegated to sidewalk smoking breaks now have a choice. Struggling to light cigarettes on cold, windy days is a thing of the past with the 21 Century electronic cigarette. In fact, since our e-cigs omit NO second-hand smoke, we have found that many bosses will actually allow their employees to use our product at their desk!
And despite all of these truly exciting advantages to electronic cigarettes, it is our believe that the strongest argument for electronic cigarettes remains the KNOWN FACTS about traditional cigarettes. Here are a few of the many startling facts about tobacco and cigarettes:
- Each year cigarette smoking related illnesses kills more than 450,000 people. This is a larger number than alcohol, cocaine, crack, heroin, homicide, suicide, automobile accidents, fires and AIDs COMBINED!!! Think about this, your neighbor, your brother, your friend, your mom (heck, even our President!). Who all do you know that is smoking this poison that is just killing them slowly?
- Smokers die more than 20 years before the life expectancy of non-smokers!
- The CDC estimates that smoking costs the U.S. economy more than $190 billion each year (In times like these we could certainly find better use for this money).
- 1 out of 4 fires are started by cigarettes
While nicotine is obviously not great for you, that is just the beginning with conventional cigarettes. Nicotine, itself, is actually NOT a known carcinogen. Here are just a few of the goodies that the cigarette companies have been pumping into traditional cigarettes for years:
- Tar: This is the one we always hear about, but this is just the beginning
- Over 40 Known Carcinogens: What does that beautiful sounding word mean? "Causes Cancer," look it up!
- More than 4000 Chemicals
- Benzene: Petrol Additive, Can you think of any reason not to smoke the thing you are pumping in the car at the gas station? Who doesn't like the smell of a gas station, right?
- Formaldehyde: Embalming fluid (the stuff they put in you after you die). I suppose this is fitting. Why not put it in you before you die, as well?
- Ammonia: Toilet Cleaner. If you truly think that sounds like something you should be putting into your system, we can't help you
- Arsenic: Rat Poison. Since we aren't rats, this obviously can't be that bad for us?
- Hydrogen Cyanide: Gas Chamber Poison. You know, the stuff the Nazis used.
